Project
Arms of Love Foundations founders Ps Wayan and Gayle and their ministry teams have been supporting prisoners at Bali’s Kerobokan Prison for 20 years through the development of authentic relationships and the sharing of the gospel. Arms of Love were blessed to provide emotional and spiritual support to members of the Bali nine, particularly the late Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran.
Arms of Love have also been strong advocates for the continuation and ongoing development of rehabilitation programs initiated by the Andrew and Myuran, which we believe provide opportunities for growth, development and reform.
Arms of Love continue to provide support to the over-populated and crowded Women’s Prison at Kerobokan where over 300 female prisoner are incarcerated. Together with Bayside Care Melbourne Arms of Love have distributed hygiene packs, delivered basic first aid training and have funded monthly health checks (including mediation) and counselling.
The Bayside Community Care and Arms of Love Partnership also supports Blooming in Bali, a knitting project established in Kerobokan Prison in Bali.  Blooming in Bali project aims to help women in their rehabilitation by providing purpose and hope. Women are taught how to knit and crochet, a skill they will find useful once they leave the prison and from there create beautiful hand made items such as boleros, cardigans and head pieces.
The partnership provides support by donating knitting materials and selling the beautiful items. Funds raised allow the project to continue and gives women in the prison not only a second chance, but also provide for their basic needs. with the funds generated providing Prisoners with food in addition to the single cup of rice they receive each day from the prison.
Recently Arms of Love have begun providing assistance to the children of prisoner through our Child Development Program and education scholarships.
