Project
Our aim is to build loving, caring communities with safe accommodation for those in need. We have recently built our first home for students, this is called our House of Hope and it allows teenagers and young people who are from more rural areas of Bali and other islands to access accomodation that enables them to continue their high school and university studies. The House of Hope is located in Panjer, Bali.
Students are provided with a shared room at the House of Hope, an allowance for rice and basic foods and are also given the opportunity to participate in paid part time work either at the C3 Church, at the Child Development Centre or with the Bali Christian College (which is also operated by C3 Church), this provides a sufficient income to pay for food and petrol.
Currently there are eight students supported through the House of Hope, of which six are studying teaching, one is studying agriculture and one is studying information technology.
The building of the House of Hope was designed in stages, of which the first is complete with the finishing of the 1st floor. Stage two and three require additional funding with the building costs of stage two forecast at AU$19,782.
Donations to support the construction of stage two are greatly appreciated.
