Arms of Love Foundation Indonesia (or Yayasan Tangan Kasih Indonesia) is a not for profit organisation based in Bali, Indonesia.
Arms of Love Foundation was established in response to Pastor Wayan and Pastor Gayle Dwije (Founders of Arms of Love) witnessing the devastation of the aftermath of the 2005 Bali Bombings. While their was an instant international response, that focussed on providing medical and trauma services, the impact of the bombing on tourism resulted in a loss of employment for many local Indonesian’s, Arms of Love stepped in to meet the need supporting a number of individuals who had worked in the Kuta Square shopping mall. Pastor Wayan and Gayle employed a number of individuals in their home and church and supported them to build their capacity by attending courses and seminars that ultimately lead to new employment opportunities.
The Arms of Love Foundation was then officially established in October 2009, with a mandate to bring hope to a hurting world. Through a range of social and community development the Arms of Love team reach out to people in need, develop authentic relationships and help them to improve their quality of life. Whether it’s by providing scholarships for a young person to go to school or university, or by teaching single mothers how to sew so that they can start their own business and generate income for their families, we have a heart to see people cared for, trained, educated and equipped to thrive in today’s society
